Psychotherapy

At Best Practice you are offered short-term therapy for persistent psychological problems or complaints that do not gradually decrease over time nor decrease with the help of the people close to you. These are problems or complaints that empathically disrupt your daily functioning such as anxiety and/ or depression. Complaints due to developmental problems such as ADHD and/ or Autism. Or issues regarding your personality, your (gender) identity, sexuality, and/ or (traumatic) personal history. Also treatment for psychological distress due to a severe medical condition such as limitations in your daily functioning because of long COVID or a chronic disease is offered by Best Practice.

Psychotherapy is individual counseling aiming to reduce these psychological problems and complaints. The focus of psychotherapy is for you to gain insight into your unique being and to learn new ways of addressing your thoughts, emotions, and behavior in order to ease your daily functioning.

The variants of therapy that are used at Best Practice have been scientifically proven to be effective. Evidence based techniques and interventions from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy (ST), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation & Reprocessing (EMDR) for trauma treatment are conducted by a licensed psychologist.
